YCN Photo Contests

From 2017 to 2024, YCN launched 6 Photo Contests.

All young ceramic researchers were invited to submit a microphotograph for the YCN photo contest and the winner picture selected by the jury was used to illustrate the "YCN-Ceramic Social Club" platforms on Social Medias (Facebook and LinkedIn).

Entering this competition is an opportunity to exhibit your skills in ceramic and/or microscopy !

Some rules of eligibility...

  • Only one submission per person is allowed.
  • The submission must include: a microphotograph of ceramics with a visible scale, a title (poetic titles are welcome) and a detailed caption of subject matter.
  • The photo cannot be edited - only the colors can be modified.

The 2024 Photo contest is ongoing: submit your picture for 31st March at the latest!

Here are the results of the 2017, 20192020, 2022 and 2023 YCN Photo Contests.

Interface Engineering: High-Temperature Interactions Between High-Entropy Ceramics and Metals.

My research explores high-temperature interactions between high-entropy ceramics (HECs) and metals, with a focus on joining strategies for extreme environments. By understanding how metals wet and react with these advanced ceramics, I aim to design reliable interfaces for applications such as composites, coatings, and ceramic joining with functional properties. This work contributes to improving the performance and durability of materials used in demanding industries such as energy, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
