YCN Newsletter 17 - 3rd YCN Workshop - Feedback from Martina Kocijan, grant receiver for 3rd YCN Workshop
In April 2023, thanks to JECS Trust, I had the pleasure to attend the 3rd YCN Workshop organised in Aveiro, Portugal.

The emphasis of the Workshop was on presenting lecturer skills to students and young professionals as well as networking. I had the opportunity to meet young researchers from the ceramic community and beyond. Moreover, it was a great opportunity to make numerous valuable contacts with young researchers such as exchanging ideas and experiences with other PhD students and making new collaborations.
I would like to thank Dr. Milan Vukšić for the collaboration and opportunity of presenting our joint research at the conference through the poster presentation entitled Additive Manufacturing of Ceramic Supports for Photocatalytic Degradation of Hydroxychloroquine which has been awarded 3rd place in the poster section.
This workshop is ideal for all young researchers within the ceramic community and beyond. I would highly recommend the Young Ceramists Network (YCN) workshop since it offers unique experiences as well as providing a deeper understanding around ceramics. The personal development and networking of students is especially beneficial to those beginning their research careers.
I am so grateful to the JECS Trust`s travel grant that not only enabled my participation in this outstanding workshop, but also their financial support for my trip to Portugal.
