Sherly is a first-year PhD student in the Faculty of Material Science and Ceramics, AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland. After finishing her bachelor’s degree in Indonesia, she was working as a research assistant in Indonesian Institute of Sciences (right now known as The National Research and Innovation Agency) from 2018-2019 and she was doing research under battery and supercapacitor department and awarded as the best research assitant in 2018. She was also working as a technical analysis laboratorium which hands on of several equipment for measurement and characterization such as Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET), Particle Size Analizer Nano and Mikro (PSA), Thermal Conductivity equipment, Simultaneously Thermal Analysis (STA-DSC-TG), X-Ray Fluoresence Spectrometer (XRF). After 1,5 years working as a research assistant and technical analysis laboratory, she got a scholarship from Poland’s government (NAWA) to pursue her master’s degree in last 2019. She was learning polish language for 1 semester at Politechnica Krakowska as a preparation course and continue her master at AGH University of Science and Technology in 2020. In 2021 she graduated and got her MSc degree and continue her study for PhD in the same year at same Faculty and University.

Her research focus is about ceramic protonic conductor for energy conversion application. Her master thesis was about to study the high temperature ceramic protonic conductor properties based on the BaCeO3 doped yttrium and modification of microstructure with the influence of the modifying phase Ba-Ce-Y-Si-P-O to improve the ionic conductivity. Right now, her focus to modifying the microstructure of the BaCeO3 to improve the chemical resistance and ionic conductivity of the ceramic protonic conductors with the modifier phase from the glass protonic conductor material. Recently working, she trying to find the best stoichiometry system for the glass protonic conductor as a modifier phase material which will be applied to the base material – BaCeO3 doped yttrium to find the best system of the ceramic composite protonic conductors.
