Young Ceramics Additive Manufacturing - New Committee

In 2017 we started the young Ceramics Additive Manufacturing Forum with our first conference at Technical University Berlin.

This meeting was extraordinary, as many attendances - for the first time - met a large group of fellow junior AM researchers in Europe with similar interests. In the closing session of this meeting, we already discussed how to permanently establish the Forum for the coming generation of young ceramic AM.

After six wonderful yCAM editions in Berlin, Padova, Mons, Toulouse (Online), meet-UP (online) and finally, Barcelona, we have decided that it is time to hand the torch to a new team of excellent researchers :

Anna De Marzi, University of Padova ;
Johanna Sänger, Montanuniversität Leoben ;
Sarah Diener, Kyocera Fineceramics Europe GmbH ;

We wish the new committee the best of luck and joy in organizing the next yCAMs, starting with 2023.

We are very grateful for the wonderful time, all the support from ECerS and JECS Trust, and especially your interest in yCAM. We will still be coordinating the Europe Makes Ceramics network of ECerS and will keep developing activities to bring people in ceramic AM together.

Stay tuned!

Giorgia Franchin, Andrea Zocca and David Karl
